What is Missional?

by Pastor Alvin

Being the gospel wherever you are.

Missional word derives from Mission of God. Being Missional is a mission that is bigger than ourselves. When we choose to be in the room seemingly safe but living in fear, seemingly alive but slowly dying. If we are willing to step out of the house, although our lives are endangered, we get God's peace, experience excitement in doing God's works.

John 20:19-23

Being Missional means;
To Participate in God's Redemptive Mission,
That started with the Father, Modelled through the Son,
Empowered by the Spirit,
To represent the Gospel of God's reign in the world,
By the Consecrated Church

The end goal of the church is the soul of men. Today we have to do the works of God's word incarnated.

Why God chose to use us?
As we partner with God in this mission, we ourselves can be transformed.

If we do not live our lives with goal bigger than ourselves, we will fall into sin Acedia. We will die a slow death. God wanted us to experience His love. He wanted us to spread His love. God is the one who first love. At eden, God sacrificed an animal to sew a covering for Adam and Eve.

God the Father is the first missionary,
God the Son Jesus is the second missionary,
God the Holy Spirit is the third missionary in the Godhead

The Spirit of God needs to be given the space to work supernatural works. We live in the privilege era of the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 18:17-20

As a consecrated church :
(1) We have the authority to correct
(2) We are here to support one another, prayer for one another
(3) We have to be a contrasting community

"Life isn't worth living for, unless you have something worth dying for."
- Martin Luther King JR -

I want to be Missional,
I want to participate in God's redemptive Mission,
That started with the Father,
Modelled through the Son,
Empowered by the Spirit,
to represent the gospel of God's reign in the world,
by the consecrated church

Faith

by Reverend Jerald Robinson

What Faith Is
How Faith Comes
How to Exercise Faith

Mark 11:12-14

Mark 11:24
Therefore, I say to you. whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

We don't see Him but He lives in us

Psalm 139
Hebrews 11:1
Romans 10:17 (What faith is)

Hope says I hope I get it
Faith says it's mine, I have it now even before the evidence can be seen, be thankful

Faith is firmly persuaded that God can perform

We start with hope and step into faith

Faith begins where the will of God is known

Hearing the word of God
Luke 5:15
Luke 6:17-19

Does asking increase our faith?
Luke 17:5-6

Jesus told his disciples to exercise the faith they already have by speaking

How to exercise Faith?
Romans 10:6-8
Romans 10:9-10
Connection between my heart and my mouth

2 Corinthians 4:13
- Believing and Speaking
- My heart and my mouth

God is a life-speaking spirit and so we are too. We are a spirit, we have a soul and we live in a body

Mark 11:23-24
James 5:14-15

James 5:15
And the prayer of faith will save the sick...

I believe I receive when I pray

The prayer of faith does not include :
Lord if it be thy will......

The power of the tongue
Proverbs 18:21
It is my choice to speak death or to speak life into everything that concerns me

When I put God's word in my mouth, He watches over me too

POWER OF THE TONGUE
Proverbs 18:21
Death and Life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

It is my choice to speak death or to speak life into everything that concerns me. Stop saying,
I cannot sleep
I'm having headache
My hair is...
I do not have...
I cannot get pregnant
I am so afraid
I always fall sick
I am having flu

Christ has redeemed us.....

James 3:2-4

My tongue is a steering wheel of my life

Proverbs 18:20
- hunger pangs
- stomach aches

Jesus told me in Mark 11:23 to speak to the mountain (symptoms)

The Ultimate Wedding

by Pastor Calvin Lee

Wedding is a time of great celebration
Revelation 19:9
Revelation 20
Revelation 21:1-7
Isaiah 62:5

Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the lamb! And he added, these are the true words of God

3 things on heaven :
Heaven will be a place to rest. It will be our marital home, it is a place of restoration and heaven will be our perfect place.

(1) A Place of Rest
(2) A Place of Restoration
(3) A Place of rejoicing

"Write this" denotes ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY

"Blessed are those who are invited" denotes ABUNDANT BLESSINGS

"Wedding Supper" denotes AWESOME CELEBRATION

"Lamb" denotes ATONING SACRIFICE

"These are the true words of God" denotes AUTHORITATIVE WORD

How should we respond to God knowing that the wedding will surely take place?
(1) Love Him and others more (obey and surrender)
(2) Look forward and look up (happy ending, great anticipation of Christ marriage supper)
(3) Live today in the light of that day!
(4) Let others know about this grand wedding (be missional, blow the trumpet)

Everything will be alright in the end. If it is not alright, it is not the end

Sometimes we are so earthbound and we're no longer excited about the future great day of Christ coming

When we die, there will be a transformation in our body, there will be an examination that we must give an account to Him, there will be a celebration

Have you accepted the invitation?
Are you ready to meet our maker

The Kingdom of God

by Pastor Peter Tsukahira

What does it mean to be in the kingdom of God?
What is Israel relation to the kingdom of God?

The kingdom of God on earth of Israel
- People who lived their lives on earth to rule this place as kings
- Abraham

Exodus 19:5
- God became King and the people who became the kingdom
- It was the sovereign choice of God to choose Israel as the priestly kingdom and holy nation

Israel is the older brother in kingdom of Christianity

- Prophet Jeremiah (Jeremiah 1:3)
- Prophet Samuel
- King David
- Apostle Paul
- Lord Jesus

Human being are the crown of God's creation

If you want to get something from God, you go to His house, not empty-handed.  You bring a gift.  Your gift is the "YES decision" before you take that to the House of God.  Your gift will be burnt as a sweet aroma, it will put on the altar and it's not yours anymore.

God created every human to be gifted.  Everyone is gifted.  Every gift was made cast down, design before that person was born.
