And this gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nation's, and then the end will come.
4 billion have yet to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The best of time because God is opening the door and the spirit of God is moving strongly to preach the gospel to different people, different places. The worst of time is
The devil is fighting tooth and nail against the movement of the gospel.
Ephesians 3:11
according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord,
Witness - Greek word means "martus" means martyr
Why would these people (people in the mission field) have great strength and faith to face death despite persecution? It is the Holy Spirit. Our only hope is the gospel
Proverbs 3:27
Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due when it is in your hands to do so.
Genesis 12:2
I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing
God bless Singapore and grace church so that we can be a blessings to many nations that Grace is a mission to.
Prayers will open your eyes to the needs of people. God can help us to serve others when we are in the mission field.
2 corinthians 9:10
Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase and increase the harvest of your righteousness.
It is not how much you do but how much Love you put into the doing that matters.

Why following Jesus is so great?

Following Jesus is about living through pink slips, and divorce courts. And following Jesus is about living through heartaches and tragedy. And getting that bad news from the doctor and not getting accepted into that college that you want to go to. Following Jesus is about your boyfriend breaking up with you or your husband walk out the door on you. And being a Christian does not take away the bad stuff.
But being Christian is learning to trust God through the bad stuff knowing that He has a purpose for everything that you're going through, if you let Him. The reason following Jesus is so great is not because our circumstances are always great, because we know that's not gonna happen. But following Jesus is so incredibly great because when something bad happen to your life, or tragedy or your health or whatever it is that happen in your life, you can have peace knowing that God has not forgotten you. And He has a purpose, and He has a plan, and you can have peace knowing that and that is so great about following Jesus.
When you were stripped of everything in your life, the only thing that you and I should have is our faith and a God who knows exactly what's going on.

1 Peter 4:7-11
This verse focus on 7 critical words : "The end of all things is near"
The End
All Things (music stops, curtains will fall, show will end)
Near (impending, approaching, the coming of our lord Jesus Christ)
(1) Be aware of eschatological (End times) realities
- When you see "therefore" in the bible, you gotta see what is is "there for"
(2) Be absolutely purposeful in our living
- since the end of all things is near, live with a sense of urgency, live your life purposefully
3 important areas :
A. Pray Soberly, take care of your soul. Keep your walk closely with God
1 Peter 4:7
B. Love Fervently
1 Peter 4:8-9
- love someone until that someone comes to know the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. The important is the salvation of God
C. Serve Faithfully
1 Peter 4:10-11
4 Observations :
1. Principle
Each one has received a spiritual gift
eg. hospitality, giving, singing, writing, administration etc...
2. Practice
Each one should use it!
- gifts are truths not trophy
- there are gifts still remain wrapped up in church today
- use it for His glory
- when you serve God, you don't look at men
- don't allow past setbacks or disappointment to stop you from serving God
3. Power
Each one relies on God's strength
- it's not about your competent, capabilities or whether you are good enough
- look at the people in the bible (Noah, Joshua, Nehemiah etc)
- unless you spread out your wings, you will not know how far you could fly
4. Purpose
Use it for His glory!
1 Corinthians 10:31
- for whom am I doing it for?
- remember the story of Jesus asking his disciples to pick up stones along the way and then turned it into bread? after that Peter pick up a big stone into which Jesus asked to throw it away? Think, when Peter pick up the stone for first time, it was obey. When he did it second time, he did it for himself thinking he's going to have "bigger" bread.

A New You!

John 15:5
2 Corinthians 5:17
God is a God who create something out of nothing. He can create in me beauty out of ashes. He can create life out of nothing. He can change and transform us out of nothing. Believe God is going to create something new in our lives. God can take chaos, addiction, problem, affliction in body and turn it into a situation that we can glorify Him.
How can we ensure that we are always in Christ?
(1) Find time, make time, spend time with God actively. When you put it down in your calender. Read a Christian storybook, inspirational article, His word, lister to sermons. Build that relationship with God through the help of Holy Spirit
(2) Become active in a local church
Romans 6:4
Ephesians 4:22-24
Isaiah 43:18-19
New life means something that is dedicated and consecrated to God for His purpose, so that we can give Him all the honour and praise.
If you are stuck in your past and refuse to let go; you'll not be able to see God's hand in your life. God says so that He will do a new thing in Isaiah 43 but you need to first let go of your past and problems and situation. Do not depend on your own ability, focus on Him instead of your problem.
