The reign of God in our walk
- Obeying God in our everyday
Sermon on the mount is direct at Christians
Matthew 5:17-48
Big Idea :
Learning to walk everyday in God's reign is to exercise kingdom righteousness by allowing the gospel of Jesus to transform our hearts to be holy like God our Father.
Jesus fulfill the law and the prophets
How do I know whether I am walking in the reign of God?
6 Litmus Test :
(1) Anger Not Just Murder
- Anger is a God-given emotion
- how you treat the visible brother that you see everyday is a reflection of how you treat God who is the invisible
- Anger is a sin when it develops into bitterness and unforgiveness (Matthew 6:14)
(2) Lust Not Just Adultery
- it shows God does not satisfy me
(3) Adultery Not Just Divorce
- when you marry your spouse, he/she is your first ministry
- when we marry, we are witnessing to the world that Jesus is coming back to marry His bride (the church)
- when you divorce you are a terrrible witness, so take solemn consideration
(4) Trustworthy Not Just Swearing
- be a person of your world and live by it
(5) Generosity Not Just Your Rights
John 18:22
- just as Jesus denied the cross that He doesn't need to go, we also can exercise generosity by not demanding our rights
(6) Love Not Just Your Friends
- can you love your enemies because they are loved by me?
- can you love your enemies because you will experience your best discipleship with Jesus?
How do I transform my heart so that God can reign in my heart?
Jesus came to fulfill the law and prophets and now is for your heart to be transformed from the inside out. Allow Jesus to heal your heart and completely reign in every areas of your life

Extraordinary Times
Pastor Calvin Lee
In these times of uncertainty and troubled news, The God that we serve is faithful
Deuteronomy 7:6-9
- even as you move forward, I will be faithful to be with you as I was in the past
3 important points :
1. Rest in God's faithfulness wholeheartedly
(vs 9)
- economy change but not God
- government change but not God
- body change but not God
- weather change but not God etc
2. Recalibrate your relationship with God prayerfully
(vs 11)
- take care of your faith life
- dig deep into the word of God
- seek the face of God
- Take care of your Family life
3. Resolve to serve God fervently
(vs 16)
- put Him first
- don't wait

Sayings by King Solomon
30 Sayings by King Solomon :
1.
Don't take advantage of poor people just because they are poor
Don't beat down those who are in need by taking them to court
The Lord will stand up for them in court
He will take back the stolen goods from those who have robbed them
2.
Don't be a friend with anyone who burns with anger
Don't go around with a person who gets angry easily
You might learn his habits
And then you will be trapped by them
3.
Don't agree to pay for what someone else owes
Don't put up money for him
If you don't have the money to pay, your bed will be taken right out from under you!
4.
Don't move old boundary stones that your people set up long ago
5.
Do you see a man who does good work?
He will serve kings
He won't serve ordinary people
6.
When you sit down to eat with a ruler, look carefully at what's in front of you
Put a knife to your throat if you like to eat too much
Don't long for his fancy food
It can fool you
7.
Don't wear yourself out to get rich
Be wise enough to say no
When you take even a quick look at riches, they are gone
They grow wings and fly away into the sky like an eagle
8.
Don't eat the food of anyone who won't share it
Don't long for his fancy food
He is the kind of person who is always thinking about how much it costs
"Eat and drink," he says to you
But he doesn't mean it
You will throw up what little you have eaten
You will have wasted your words of praise
9.
Don't speak to a foolish person
He will laugh at your wise words
10.
Don't move old boundary stones
Don't try to take over the fields of children whose fathers have died
The One who guards them is strong
He will stand up for them in court against you
11.
Apply your heart to what you are taught
Listen carefully to words of knowledge
12.
Don't hold back training from a child
If you correct him, he won't die
So correct him
Then you will save him from death
13.
My child, if your heart is wise
My heart will be glad
Deep down inside
I will be happy when you say what is right
14.
Do not long for what sinners have
But always show great respect for the Lord
There really is hope for you tomorrow
So your hope will not be cut off
15.
My child, listen and be wise
Keep your heart on the right path
Don't join those who drink too much wine
Don't join those who stuff themselves with meat
Those who drink or eat too much will become poor
If they sleep too much, they'll have to wear rags
16.
Listen to your father, who gave you life
Don't hate your mother when she is old
Buy the truth
Don't sell it
Get wisdom, training and understanding
The father of a godly child is very happy
Anyone who has a wise child is glad
May your father and mother be glad
May the woman who gave birth to you be happy
17.
My son, give me your heart
Keep your eyes on the way I live
A prostitute is like a deep pit
A wife who commits adultery is like a narrow well
She hides and waits like a thief
She causes many men to sin
18.
Who has trouble?
Who has sorrow?
Who argues?
Who has problems?
Who has wounds for no reason?
Who has red eyes?
Those who spend too much time with wine
Or those who like to taste wine that is mixed with spices
Don't look at wine when it is red
Don't look at it when it bubbles in the cup
And don't look at it when it goes down smoothly
In the end it bites like a snake
It bites like a poisonous serpent
Your eyes will see strange sights
Your mind will imagine weird things
You will feel like someone sleeping on the ocean
You will think you are lying among the ropes in a boat
"They hit me," you will say. "But I'm not hurt!
They beat me. But I don't feel it!
When will I wake up so I can find another drink?"

Extraordinary Plan
Pastor Alvin
How do christians survive in this much changing world?
Big Idea :
How to trust and obey God in the midst of lines distruption to embrace God's ExtraOrdinary plan for you and me?
# It is always for a purpose
# It is always His Mercy
So that our lives will begin to be taken to another trajectory with Him
God wants to corner you by asking you 5 important questions in the midst of disruption :
1. WHOSE are you?
(Favoured One)
Luke 1:28
The angel came to her and said, “Peace be with you! The Lord is with you and has greatly blessed you!”
Our identity will be shaken (satan will come to say, "why are you still jobless?" "why do you have cancer?" "why are you barren?" "why did your loved ones die?" etc)
Romans 8:31-33
In view of all this, what can we say? If God is for us, who can be against us? Certainly not God, who did not even keep back his own Son, but offered him for us all! He gave us his Son—will he not also freely give us all things? Who will accuse God's chosen people? God himself declares them not guilty!
How do we find favour with God?
1 Peter 2:20
For what credit is there if you endure the beatings you deserve for having done wrong? But if you endure suffering even when you have done right, God will bless you for it.
God's favour is already upon me
2. WHAT is in you?
(Do not be afraid)
What is God drawing out of my life when fear grips me? Fear reveals possible idols in my life. Disruption comes in many ways
3. WHERE are you?
(Behold)
Isaiah 43:19
Watch for the new thing I am going to do. It is happening already—you can see it now! I will make a road through the wilderness and give you streams of water there.
4. WHO is He?
(Call Him Jesus)
5. WHEN to say Yes?
(May it be done)
