Apostasy has always been preceded by a careless and compromising lifestyle of Christians. Many are oblivious to their backslidden condition just because they are attending church faithfully. However, the first love is gone; yet they are still active in church activities but are spiritually barren and fruitless.
Like a parched, empty ground, that needs to be ploughed so that the hardened earth is broken and receptive, our hearts need to be broken in deep repentance before God. Then, and only then will a revival spring forth.
