Why would God allow....?
Faith is:
Believing when I don't see it.
Obeying when I don't understand it.
Giving when I don't have all of it.
Persisting when I don't feel like it.
Trusting when I don't get it.
When we find ourselves in a situation we don't understand, what matters?
1. Faith matters!
# Expectant faith (believe in God at all times no matter what)
# Enduring faith (Faith remain strong despite....)
Faith doesn't take you out of the problem, but it gives you ability to handle the problem....
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.
Hebrews 11
shows us men and women demonstration of enduring faith
God is God, Job is not and I am not. God don't owe me an explanation even though I could not understand.
John 20:27-29
Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”
28 Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!”
29 Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
We believe in Him, it is not blind faith but it is called bold faith in God

# Our understanding
# Our insight
# Our perspective
# Our perception
MUST BE ALL BASED ON GOD'S WORD
Proverbs 7:1-3
My son, keep my words
and store up my commands within you.
2 Keep my commands and you will live;
guard my teachings as the apple of your eye.
3 Bind them on your fingers;
write them on the tablet of your heart.
A. See life through the lens of Scripture
B. Saturate our heart and mind with Scripture
C. Sort out current situation according to Scripture
It will be good
Romans 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose.
3. Fundamental matters!
# Prime importance is your relationship with God
# Your walk with God
# Know God personally not just know Him
# He's my Saviour
# He's my Shepherd
# He's my Strength
Jeremiah 9:23-24
This is what the Lord says:
“Let not the wise boast of their wisdom
or the strong boast of their strength
or the rich boast of their riches,
24 but let the one who boasts boast about this:
that they have the understanding to know me,
that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness,
justice and righteousness on earth,
for in these I delight,”
declares the Lord.
When we are close to God, we see:
all His Glory
all His Majesty
all His Greatness
through all our situations and problems.
